BLDC stands for Brush Less Direct Current. In BLDC motors, there is no internal friction hence, they are more efficient. Moreover, BLDC motors generate less heat and have longer life span.
The biggest advantage of BLDC motors is that they have low power consumption. Kühl BLDC fans consume only one third power as compared to traditional induction fans that are based on induction motor technology. A typical induction fan consumes around 80 watts of power whereas a Kühl BLDC fan consumes only 28 watts of power at full speed. This means that there are energy savings of up to 65 percent in Kühl BLDC fans.
Although BLDC fans are more expensive as compared to traditional induction fans, due to their low power consumption BLDC fans pay back the differential cost roughly in 6 to 12 months of use. Please see the below chart for example: -

Traditional induction fans make very high noise to achieve higher air flow, the fans operate at high RPM which results in chopping/cutting of air. Moreover, induction motors are itself noisy when they operate.
Kühl BLDC fans come with higher number of blades (up to 8) and operate at low RPM to achieve high air flow. Operation at low RPM results less cutting & chopping of air which leads to low noise operation.
